CobiCure was featured in the October issue of Congenital Cardiology Today alongside our partners at the EverPulse Foundation, highlighting the 2025 PICS shark tank pitch competition and ongoing efforts to address the critical shortage of pediatric cardiac devices.

The annual PICS shark tank brought together five innovators dedicated to advancing pediatric cardiac care through device innovation. This year's competition winner, Dr. Andreas Escher from MIT, was recognized for his pioneering dynamic Fontan graft. The competition celebrated all finalists working to develop solutions that children with cardiac conditions urgently need.

The PICS shark tank serves as more than a competitive event, it provides a platform to elevate innovative ideas, connect device developers with industry mentors, and accelerate the development of pediatric-specific cardiac devices that are currently in short supply.

"We're grateful to Congenital Cardiology Today and Katie Bales for helping bring attention to the urgent need for pediatric-specific devices and the innovators committed to filling this gap," said Emma Moran, Head of CobiCure MedTech.
